Still Winning?

Trump's big wins just keep on rolling in. Here is another batch of "wins" for President Donald J. Trump.

  • The latest budget passed to keep the government open.
    • No funding for The Wall
    • Continued funding for Planned Parenthood
    • Does not block funds for sanctuary cities
    • Continued funding for Obamacare
    • Pell Grand funding restored
    • Increase in the National Institute of Health (NIH) budget
    • The National Endowments for the Humanities and for the Arts received an increase
    • Only about ½ of Trump's military budget increase request was funded
  • Again had to postpone a vote on the Trumpcare health bill
  • Got the circumstances and timeline all wrong about the American Civil War and President Andrew Jackson
  • Two Secretary of the Army and one Secretary of the Navy nominees withdraw. Two of them over financial and conflicts of interest concerns. The last because he is a homophobic science denier.
  • The new revised, more draconian, health care bill did squeak by in the House. Major revisions coming in the Senate. That makes it at best a ⅓ victory. Trumpers shouldn't be celebrating too much in the 3rd inning or 2nd quarter.
  • Major and apparently unexpected blowback from the awkward firing of FBI Director James Comey. Further exacerbated by a confused White House communication department and Trump surrogates.
  • Trump reveals classified information to Russian foreign minister and ambassador to US.
  • The Justice Department appoints a Special Counsel to investigate Russian interference in our 2016 elections and the Trump campaign's alleged collusion with the Russians.
  • The fourth circuit court of appeals upholds a lower court's hold on Trump's travel ban executive order. The vote was 10-3.
  • Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law, and senior White House advisor, is under FBI scrutiny in regards to the Russia investigation.
  • Trump reveals the location of two US nuclear submarines to Philippine President and nut job Rodrigo Duterte.
  • Trump's Communication Director, Michael Dubke, resigns.
More "WINS" coming soon.
